Editor's Notes: Just when you thought Aimé Leon Dore's FW21 collection couldn't possibly have more heat in store after those New Balances dropped, here come some sharp Clarks Wallabees.

Now, I'll admit it: I liked ALD's latest NBs quite a bit but couldn't shake the sensation that I'd seen 'em before.

There were shades of the "Military Pack" and some other special models from a few years ago which is certainly not a bad thing. Who could complain about more limited edition yet highly wearable NB colorways?

Well, maybe those of us who couldn't get 'em, huh? Either way, these Clarks are a little more my speed. I have a weird fascination with snakeskin print done right (see: Hender Scheme belts) and ALD knows how to handle the advanced statement pattern.

Realized in tones of cream and brown, it doesn't get much more wearable than these two pairs of Wallabee Lows. Notice that the sole color changes depending on the prevailing hue that graces each shoe. Attention to detail!

The Clarks launch alongside a fresh selection of ALD's signature Uniform pieces, a concise spread of timeless hoodies, sweats, and pants cut from cozy jersey. Perfect for lounging around the house or in front of the brand's ever-popular Nolita flagship.

When the special shoes launched on December 10, they were joined by a matching set of snakey Desert Boots, a welcome wearable surprise.
