What We’re Saying: While many are eagerly awaiting the next New Balance 550 drop, Aimé Leon Dore has taken the opportunity to reveal its latest footwear collaboration. For Spring 2021, the Teddy Santis-led brand is teaming up with Timberland to reimagine the iconic 3-Eye Lug Handsewn.

Timberland first introduced the influential 3-Eye Lug Handsewn in 1978, ultimately creating a brand new category of footwear after combining its rugged boot lug outsole with the premium handsewn leather upper of a boat shoe. ALD's interpretation follows suit, as luxe leather uppers are paired with a rubber lug outsole, while the shoe also features leather lining, a co-branded EVA-blend foam footbed, and 360-degree functional rawhide lacing system.

Optioned in three colorways, the Aimé Leon Dore x Timberland 3-Eye Lug is the perfect sneaker alternative for the spring and summer months ahead. The shoes was first available through ALD on April 2, followed by a wider launch at Timberland.com and select retailers on April 9.
