Brand: Awake NY x ASICS

Model: GEL-Preleus

Release Date: December 12

Price: €150 / $150

Buy: Select retailers such as Solebox

Editor’s Notes: After Angelo Baque teased just a quarter of the Awake NY x ASICS GEL-Preleus back in September, retailers such as Solebox have begun listing the upcoming sneaker on their release calendars. It appears that the project will be released this weekend, on December 12, which would be surprising, as there have not been any major leaks or announcements made yet.

Nevertheless, this gives us our first proper look at Awake NY’s wild take on a silhouette, that ASICS is likely to relaunch more widely off the back of this collaboration. If the silver and turquoise color scheme wasn’t eye-catching enough, a base leopard print pattern makes this sneaker even bolder.

There is still no word yet on whether we’ll be seeing an alternate colorway, as we did with the two brands’ 2019 GEL-Kayano 5 360 collaboration.
