Billie Eilish has dethroned Lil Nas X from the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Her single “bad guy” reached the top spot on Monday, ending the unprecedented 19 weeks “Old Town Road” enjoyed at number one. What's more, 17-year-old Eilish is breaking records of her own — not only is this her first Billboard 100 number one, but as of yesterday, she's now the first artist born this century to take the number one spot.

“Old Town Road” bested the 16-week Billboard record held by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's 1995 single "One Sweet Day" and Luis Fonti, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber's "Despacito" remix from last year.  Shortly after the news was announced, Lil Nas X took to Twitter to share his congratulations.

Eilish has been coming at Lil Nas X's internet-breaking trap-country crossover hit for some time now. And the recent Justin Bieber remix gave her track the final push it needed to finally ascend to the Billboard Hot 100 summit.
