Double Tap to Zoom

Black Acid Co-op is the third collaborative venture between Justin Lowe and Jonah Freedman. The installation explores how sub-cultural groups are situated in a greater metropolis. The artists create spaces that comment on the re-purposing of uses and the hybrid nature of commercial buildings transformed for illegal residential dwelling. Black Acid Co-op opened at Deitch Projects on Friday and will remain on view to the public through August 15, 2009.

Deitch Projects, 18 Wooster Street, New York.
