Burton has called on OFF-WHITE and Vogue to come together for a limited edition snowboarding capsule. The ten-piece collection is filled with chic performance-wear for women, combining OFF-WHITE’s signature designs and Vogue’s Selby Drummond’s minimalist, sleek style with Burton’s renowned technical fabrications.
Drummond, Vogue's accessories director, says, “Like a lot of girls I know, I grew up shopping in the men’s section for my gear because women’s styles at the time often felt like an afterthought. Burton was the only partner Virgil and I even considered when we dreamt up this collection, because they are not only pioneers of the sport, but also champions of female athletes on the slopes.”
OFF-WHITE's Virgil Abloh then added, “Our process first started with a trip to the Burton Headquarters in Burlington, Vermont to meet and tour the facilities with Greg Dacyshyn. The root of the collection was using Selby as the muse. Her personality and character is the intersection that inspired me. She is both street and chic. Therein lies the Off-WhiteTM spirit. The collection signifies both high fashion in its tailoring and fit, as well as having the element of no-fuss and utilitarianism.”
The limited edition garments from Burton, OFF-WHITE and Vogue are available now through select OFF-WHITE stores, Burton's NYC flagship, Burton Tokyo, and online.
