There are only a few of London’s historic department stores left, and none of them has an antiquated charm quite like Liberty. Its Elizabethan-style architecture makes the sprawling department store feel more like a huge cottage and there are still large spaces dedicated to the shop’s original trade of selling exotic fabrics.

It’s these high-end materials that Liberty x Casio pays homage to. In the collaboration, Casio’s classic rectangular-cased AQ-230 watch gets the Liberty treatment by being covered in the shop’s “Paisley Fanfare” print.

There are two watches to pick from, a silver case with a silver band and a gunmetal case with a black band, both with every square inch engraved in the signature swirling patterns of Liberty.

And the packaging, naturally, is equally doused in a heavy helping of that classic Liberty paisley.

Founded in 1875 as an “oriental bazaar” specializing in fine silks before becoming best-known for its original fabrics, Liberty has evolved to become a full-blown department store while still operating as something of a bazaar selling its paisley fabrics and oriental rugs. And whenever Liberty embarks on a new collaboration, it typically honors its roots.

These watches, available now from the Casio website, follow up on everything from Liberty's paisley-printed adidas sneakers to its high-end notebooks. Practically anything Liberty touches ends up paisley.
