Chance the Rapper has returned to his hometown for a new interview with Katie Couric. Conducted in legendary Chicago joint Harold’s Chicken Shack, Chance talks candidly about the meaning behind his ‘3’ hat that he wears religiously, staying independent, his tribute to Muhammad Ali, Obama, Kanye, Trump and a lot, lot more. Watch the brilliant new interview in full below.

Chance is also meeting up with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner tomorrow to talk about the essentialness of education funding in the city, as he’s the goat. And lest we forget, he also just made Grammy history with his wins for the streaming-only full-length Coloring Book which dropped last year. Does he have any faults? Not yet it seems.

Watch his recent new video for “Same Drugs” below.
