We caught up with their founder Martin Pos to understand CYBEX’s next chapter as the brand sharpens its creative edge and expands its global footprint with renewed ambition. The opening of the Berlin flagship underscores a commitment to merging cultural relevance with design innovation, while the launch of Rebellious Luxury signals a shift toward bolder, street-inspired expression for modern families.
How would you describe the evolution of CYBEX from its early beginnings to the global brand it is today, and what core values continue to guide that journey?
From day one, CYBEX was built on one simple mantra: “Impossible is not an option”.
Back in 2005, we had big dreams, tiny budgets, and one mission – to create the safest car seat in the world. Fast forward 20 years, and that same drive has taken us into strollers, furniture, baby carriers, and much more. Along the way, we’ve teamed up with icons like Jeremy Scott, DJ Khaled and Karolina Kurkova, hosted unforgettable events around the world, and carved out our position as both a luxury lifestyle brand and a tech-forward innovator.
But we’re far from done. We continue to push boundaries with the goal of becoming the ultimate one-stop solution for all modern families.
At the heart of everything is our D.S.F. principle—Design, Safety, Functionality. It’s our DNA, our compass, and the foundation of family life as we see it.
What inspired the decision to open a flagship store in Berlin, and how does this new location reflect the spirit and ambitions of the brand?
Berlin is a city that breathes creativity, individuality, and bold self-expression—the same qualities that built CYBEX. Opening a flagship here, in a location loaded with history and culture, feels like a homecoming and a statement. It’s our way of celebrating our German roots while expanding a global design footprint that already includes Prague, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Paris, and New York.
In what ways does the Berlin flagship stand out within your global portfolio, and what experience do you hope visitors will take away from this particular space?
Each CYBEX flagship carries our signature design language, but every one has its own pulse. New York, for example, uses steel elements that echo SoHo’s iconic cast-iron buildings. Berlin, on the other hand, fuses the city’s artistic soul with our design DNA. Think neutral tones balanced with playful, sculptural nods to Pop Art — from organic curves to bold artistic moments placed throughout the space.
We want visitors to feel this distinctive atmosphere of self-expression and creativity the second they walk in. As we empower modern parents to embrace their unique style, every store becomes an opportunity to connect with the dynamic and vibrant communities of each city.
Rebellious Luxury introduces a bold new attitude within the Platinum Fashion Collection. What sparked the creative direction behind this drop, and how does it speak to the modern families you aim to inspire?
Rebellious Luxury is luxury streetstyle, and was created for families who break the mold. It’s an invitation to unleash your inner rebel and redefine what “family style” looks like. This drop isn’t about keeping up with trends — it’s about setting them.
It’s gritty, luxe, and unapologetically urban. Designed for parents who move fast, live boldly, and want their gear to make as much of a statement as they do.
How does Rebellious Luxury represent the next chapter for CYBEX, and what does this collection reveal about where the brand is heading creatively and culturally?
Rebellious Luxury marks the next chapter of CYBEX—a deeper dive into authenticity, luxury streetstyle, and sharper self-expression. We’re designing for parents who want to stand out, who care about aesthetics as much as performance, and who refuse to tone down their identity just because they have a baby.
