The denim of dreams – though we may all have our own vision of what that looks like, some denim pieces are undeniably mesmerizing. With such an endless variety on offer, it can be difficult to find the gems hidden in plain sight.

KSENIASCHNAIDER, in collaboration with DL1961, does the legwork for us, showing us what world-class denim looks like.

Many have forgone jeans, finding comfort in cargo trousers and tailored wool pants. Despite the pairs that have fallen to the back of wardrobes or disregarded onto thrift shop piles, attention-worthy denim continues to stack neatly across the industry.

Between Our Legacy's seeming ability to always hit the bullseye, and Tremaine Emory's vision of Supreme's future, with a fair touch of flair from Stüssy and Levi's, jeans are in good hands, few quite as good as Ukranian designer KSENIASCHNAIDER, however.

Now, I've never stopped to picture what a yeti in jeans might look like, but KSENIASCHNAIDER's intricate, highly detailed denim sets turn fiction into reality.

While this may not have been their intent, the fur denim, created in collaboration with DL1961, strikes an image of fantasy that, more than anything, is great fun.

The work of KSENIASCHNAIDER, a Kyiv-based husband and wife duo, includes a range of women’s and men’s upcycled, reworked, and sustainable denim and accessories characterized by incredibly intricate design techniques, realized through a passionate, fine-tuned attention to detail; all foundations that have given new life to DL1961’s core silhouettes.

Comprising the standout fur jeans, a matching jacket, mini skirt, and tank top, as well as a patchwork jeans and jacket set, the collection (available online now) is a testament to the world-class design that's nestled into the heart of Ukraine.
