Fortnite celebrations in sporting arenas have become the norm, so it was perhaps only a matter of time before the connection was switched and IRL sport entered the battle royale game. That will happen this week when official NFL uniforms hit the game on November 9.

The partnership between Epic Games and the NFL will allow players to use jerseys from any of the 32 teams on the roster (as well as a made-up Fortnite team) and choose their own number. The jerseys will be available to purchase in the in-game store but prices have yet to be announced.

Earlier this year, Fortnite brought unofficial soccer skins to the game to celebrate the World Cup. That update also included the ability to play soccer in special in-game stadiums, but it remains to be seen whether we'll see similar features for the NFL edition.

In other news, Cardi B is the new face of Reebok.
