We’ve reached sunglasses season, and after what seemed like the longest winter of our lives, it’s worth making the most of it. You already know the adage “go hard or go home,” and these Gucci Mask Sunglasses are the physical embodiment of that.

When it comes to Gucci sunglasses, we’re used to them being big, but under Alessandro Michele’s tenure at the brand, they took a decisively retro tack. Not this pair.

Featuring minimal frames, the injected acetate runs across the brow in blue, fluorescent yellow, and purple. It’s finished with a speckled detail and Gucci branding to each temple. Dropping down from the brow is the mammoth lens in dark green. Gucci laser engraving sits at the top right, forming the only detail aside from a black nose cushion.

The Gucci Mask Sunglasses lean into the ongoing trend for technical styles, spearheaded by the resurgence of Oakley’s ‘90s-fueled designs. While Gucci usually stays very much in its own lane, ignoring trends and instead opting for its signature house codes, this one seems to have been all too tempting for the Florentine luxury giant.
