The globe-trotting menswear circus has moved on from the “Big Four” cities — London, Milan, Paris and New York — so now it’s the turn of Copenhagen to show off its SS17 goods. Homegrown label Han Kjøbenhavn unveiled a collection of streetwear-slash-menswear, which played heavily with denim and Far East-tinged motifs.

That meant raw-hemmed, shearling-lined jackets, shredded shorts, and a healthy dose of punchy Oriental-style graphics. Elsewhere, there were sporty drawstring trousers — in fabulous shades of lilac, no less — and pinstriped bombers and overcoats (again with raw hems).

The brand’s Oriental-inspired vibes continued via silky jacquard shirts and a gratuitous dose of Japanese lettering, which was liberally splashed all over the place. Strong stuff from the Danes, who you can always rely on to produce accessible, well-designed clothing for style-conscious guys.
