IKEA Japan is branching out from self-assembly furniture and Swedish meatballs and into apparel with an approaching Spring/Summer 2020 capsule dubbed “EFTERTRADA."

The capsule – launching from the brand's Harajuku store – will include a T-shirt, hoodie, umbrella, tote bags, as well as towels and water bottles. The designs feature a combination of the distinctive blue/yellow logo and barcodes on plain white backgrounds.

The multinational group's foray into fashion comes as no surprise following a wildly successful collaboration with Virgil Abloh in 2019, as well as providing ample inspiration for high-fashion editions of the iconic FRAKTA bag.

The capsule will be available for pre-sale from July 31 on IKEA Japan's website.
