Editor’s Notes: Infrathin was a term coined by influential French American artist Marcel Duchamp in 1915 to describe the immeasurable difference between two "identical" things. For example, the difference between two T-shirts bought at the same store.

Artist and recurring Louis Vuitton collaborator Alex Israel chose the brand name Infrathin because the sentiment evokes the things he loves about life and art in Los Angeles. His new range of made-in-LA tees and sweats includes images of a grinning avocado, a cartoon pelican, a fish, and a wave graphic from Israel's own work.
