Kanye West has been one of the key players in JAY-Z's TIDAL stable. Along with a few other prominent musicians, he was announced as one of the co-owners of the service originally when JAY-Z took over. Things have changed a little since then and as it stands now, West wants to get out of TIDAL, not having been happy with the service for a while according to rumors, and also TIDAL apparently owes him $3 million. The fight between Kanye and JAY-Z was also addressed on Jay's new 4:44 album, which released late last week. As you can imagine, that did not help the situation very much. According to TIDAL, Kanye did not deliver the number of videos that was originally agreed on. Even though West's lawyers have submitted the cancellation of the contract, TIDAL does not seem to except it and is ready to sue West in case he moves to another streaming service. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few weeks and months.
