Kit Harington is confirmed to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dane Whitman in The Eternals. Harington will take up the role of Black Knight alongside his Game of Thrones co-star, Richard Madden. Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, and Don Lee are also joining the cast.

The announcement came yesterday at Disney’s D23 2019 fan convention. The Eternals follows a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilizations. The superheroes made their first appearance in Marvel comics back in 1976. The immortal heroes will appear in the next phase of the MCU.
