Loro Piana's SS26 collection is a celebration of color. Since 1924, the storied Maison has transformed the way the world of luxury views fabric, building a heritage on impeccable quality and timeless style. And while using some of the rarest wools that the world has to offer of course leads to beautiful tactile garments, the way in which these fabrics affect color is often overlooked. Not anymore.

Loro Piana unveiled its collection within Milan’s historic Palazzo Citterio, where color served as the unifying thread between fashion, art, and architecture. The newly restored 18th-century mansion, home to masterpieces by artists such as Picasso and Modigliani, provided a luminous backdrop that reinforced the Maison’s longstanding ties to the art world.

On first look, the latest collection boasts ultrafine cashmere, silk, and merino wool in the Maison's classic earthy palette. Neutral tans and creams deliver a signature sense of richness and versatility, but upon closer inspection, reveal hidden depths. With accents of red, yellow, marigold, and turquoise, the effortless neutrals have a kaleidoscopic effect.

Across the men’s collection, softness—both in terms of texture and construction—forms the central pillar. Tailoring rests at the heart of everything that Loro Piana does, and the masterfully easy silhouettes that flow naturally on the body are testament to this. Whether it’s a double-breasted blazer, the iconic Traveller jacket, or knitwear, each piece boasts a slouchy fit that never feels lazy. Instead, soft elegance shines through.

As for women’s, the collection offers a distinctive silhouette rooted in the art of line. Elongated and fluid, double-faced coats styled over dresses distil the Maison's signature sense of sophisticated femininity. Block prints and boucle textures highlight the dynamism of the garments. Returning favorites like the Spagna, Maremma, and Traveller jackets punctuate the collection that finds a balanced base in understated flats, while sculptural felt hats add a touch of flair.

Best-in-class fabrics are par for the course when it comes to Loro Piana collections, but this season’s collection offers a new angle to the mastery. Through texture, color takes on new depths, perfectly encapsulating what the storied Italian House stands for: Understated sophistication paves the way to layers of complex beauty reserved for those who take the time to find it.
