New season, new Miu Balances (not a typo).

At its Spring/Summer 2027 presentation on October 4, the Prada Group-owned label debuted a brand-new New Balance sneaker collaboration: the RC150. It's an obscure running model from the 1990s, which gets its name from its 150-gram weight.

It's slim, relatively flat, and quite sporty. Sounds like the perfect model for Miu Miu.

The brand gave Highsnobiety a first look at its upcoming RC150 sneaker, which includes technical mesh, suede accents, and signature zigzag stitching. It also comes in retro colorways like blue/white, red/white, blue/yellow, and brown.

Oh, and I almost forgot. It's double-laced (of course). This Miu Miu sneaker features the regular lace-ups plus laces tied around the toe box.

The RC150 marks the start of a new chapter for the partnership. Since Spring/Summer 2022, New Balance and Miu Miu have released different versions of the 530. It started with a deconstructed 530 sneaker. Then, everything went flat-soled with the 530SL sneaker, 530 SL mules, and 530 SL ballet flats.

It's hard to say what awaits in the RC150 era, which kicks off with an official release in February 2027. But this is a pretty solid start.
