To celebrate the launch of New Balance’s next-generation R_C1 silhouette, they’ll be hosting an exclusive invite-only release event in NYC.

Informed by the iconic design language of the 1300JP, the R_C1 comes by way of New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio in Japan and introduces new features while managing to keep the silhouette uniquely modern with its “N” cage detailing.

The vegetable tan leather version of the R_C1 featured here comes equipped with a custom Tokyo Design Studio foot bed along with an update on one of the brand’s most enduring technologies called ENCAP Reveal, which exposes the soft Abzorb core inside.

Initially launched earlier this month in Japan and select global retailers, the R_C1 makes its way to New York come November 1 for an exclusive release party and will be available at premium sneaker accounts like Kith and Concepts.
