Fulda and Frankfurt, Germany-based sneaker store 43einhalb is raffling off a Baby Benz 190 to celebrate the re-release of 1990’s iconic Nike Air Max 3 (later known as the Air Max 90). The Baby Benz in question is a 1990 model Mercedes Benz 190 E 1.8 and has been wrapped in the legendary infrared colorway of the Air Max 3.

In addition to the colorway, the Baby Benz features a chrome Air Max 3 hood ornament, affectionately named “Air-Maly” after the Rolls Royce hood ornament, which is nicknamed “Emily.” The interior of the car is also customized, as are some parts of the exterior.

The Nike Air Max 3 was originally released in 1990, which is why retros have become known as the Air Max 90. This pair, though, stays as true to the original’s packaging, stitching, materials, and color as possible. Therefore it should be noted that Nike is bringing back the Air Max 3, not the 90. This re-release is part of the silhouettes’ 30th-anniversary celebrations, which have included a number of hyped colorways being re-released over the past 12 months.

The stunt of wrapping an OG Baby Benz in infrared colors would have been attention-grabbing enough, but the fact that 43einhalb is actually giving away this car to one of its followers is insane. Most recently, fellow German retailer Afew raffled off a sneaker box-inspired boat for the release of the “Reverse Duck Camo” Air Max 90. German sneaker stores, man.

The Nike Air Max 3 “Infrared” drops at retailers such as 43einhalb, Solebox, and Afew on November 28. For more information on 43einhalb’s giveaway, keep an eye on the store’s social media channels.
