Editor’s Notes: Nike is gearing up for a sizable series of releases surrounding the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. One of the more noteworthy drops that is on the horizon is a "Gold Medal" Air Max 97.

Adhering to the name of the release, this particular Air Max 97 is draped in gold-colored leather across the upper. Showcasing the silhouette's signature wavy design, the colorway is predominantly monochromatic, with small contrasts coming in the form of red accents on the heel tab and underfoot Swoosh, as well as the black lining.

Nike has not announced any release information for the "Gold Medal" Air Max 97 at this time, but expect a drop to take place surrounding the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The summer games are scheduled for July 24 to August 9.
