Nike's winter shoe collection just got better. Now, the brand's introducing a neat hiking-style Rejuven8 Run sneaker for the cold days ahead.

Unlike the previous breezy recovery shoe, the Rejuven8 Run 4x4 shoe, originally named the Rejuven8 WNTR, wears more winter-appropriate attire. This version comes with cozy, shaggy suede uppers. It also keeps the inner removable bootie, which can be worn on its own, thanks to a thin outsole support.

Another cool thing about the Rejuven8 Run 4x4 sneaker is its soles. It comes with gritty, black, chunky soles that make it look like the sneakers stepped in some mud. They did not (I think). It just goes to show that Nike's newest recovery sneakers aren't afraid to get dirty, if need be.

It's also extremely cushioned, with Nike Air coming to the rescue in the soles.

Nike's winterized recovery shoe has a similar vibe to New Balance's new TL900 "hiking shoe." It has trail-worthy charm as well as street-savviness. Nike's effort makes post-winter workouts look good, though.

Nike's Rejuven8 Run 4x4 is scheduled to drop on November 18 on Nike's website for $145. It'll debut in two outdoorsy colorways: "Smoke Grey" and "Linen."
