Nike’s Italian Leather Air Maxes Are Too Luxe for Their Own Good
One Block Down's Nike Air Max 95 Lux sneaker is even more, well, luxe than we initially thought.
There were murmurs about whether this particular collaboration would be Italian-made, like the Supreme linkup. And they technically are. According to One Block Down, the Air Max 95's leather was "prepared and finished in Italy," while the rest was produced in Vietnam.
Sounds like an Italian Nike to me.
If that ain't enough for ya, the rest of the design might change your mind. The Air Max 95 Lux sneakers land in four colorways total. We've seen the black, but the brand finally revealed the green, red, and white pairs (a.k.a. Italy's flag colors).
They all feature one-piece puffer leather uppers (from Italy, in case you forgot), plus faux mesh accents and shiny silver hangtags.
Supreme did its thing with its own "Made in Italy" pairs. But One Block Down's collaborative effort is even more Italian (and come straight from a Milan brand, at that).
The Air Max sneakers are joined by a clothing capsule, which includes soccer-coded technical jackets, roomy track pants, a training T-shirt, and skull caps.
One Block Down's black Nike Air Max 95 Lux sneakers will drop on November 13 on the brand's website, then on Nike's website on November 19. Meanwhile, the green, red, and white colorways will release only at One Block Down's Milan store.
If you haven't booked the flight to Milan yet, you're already behind schedule.
