Paul Rodriguez's Elegant Nike Skate Shoe Is Full of Fall Flavor
Nike SB's Zoom Air P-Rod 1 summered so hard, it's going into the fall with a nice "tan."
Well, it's entering the season in the famous "Light British Tan" colorway, that is.
Paul Rodriguez's signature Nike sneaker gets a tonal tan makeover, complete with nice suede and the usual elegant touches, like the R-stamped quilting around the heel.
But don't be fooled by the classy design. It is, after all, a skate shoe with plenty of plush padding and Zoom Air soles, all there to help power through sessions.
Nike's "Light British Tan" scheme has also packed an outdoorsy edge. At times, it has even bordered on Timberland "Wheat" territory.
The tan P-Rods certainly have that Timbs flavor, but they're actually inspired by skater Tom Penny's eS Accel OG skate shoes, which also feature a tonal tan suede look.
It's simply one skater showing love to another through a tasteful shred-ready shoe. That's all.
Rodriguez previewed the "Light British Tan" sneakers in 2025, alongside the Dodgers-inspired pairs which dropped earlier this year. Now, practically a year later, they're finally releasing.
The official release date is still unknown, but they're expected to drop on Nike's website in the fall. Very appropriate considering these are full of autumnal flavor.
