Double Tap to Zoom

Not every great sneaker release has to reinvent footwear. In fact, Nike seems to be at its strongest when it doesn't. While every other brand is busy chasing the next viral silhouette or shocking collaboration, the Swoosh continues to mine its own archive with remarkable confidence. From streetwear staples, to Indoor Football Icons and Basketball classics. They're all part of the same conversation now!

In this iteration of our our weekly lineup of Nike releases, find proof that Nike offers great design week by week. From Nike's toughest high-top hiking sneaker yet, to Airmax's answer to a croc-skin loafer. This week shows off the best that Nike has to offer, from archival classics to the next steps in sport.

Please note: Some sneakers may sell out at speed.

Nike Air Max Goadome TecTuff®

NikeAir Max Goadome TecTuff®
$200
Buy at Nike

Release Date: Available Now

Editor's Notes: In the early 2000s Nike asked the important question “what if an Air Max could survive a hike?”, and the result was the Goadome. This time, the all-black boot adds ACG branding and TecTuff, a material Nike says boosts water and abrasion resistance. Underneath sit a padded high-top collar, visible Air cushioning and a rubber sole with an aggressive lug pattern. It’s an Air Max dressed up for the mountains, but its testing ground will mostly be damp commutes, which suits it fine.

Air Max Dolce Leather

NikeWomen's Air Max Dolce Leather
$170
Buy at Nike

Release Date: Available now

Editor's Notes: The Air Max Dolce is the one Air Max that was designed to go from the track to the red carpet, and it’s back with its original party tricks. It has a laceless, molded upper with an overlay cage, and the heel Air unit that gives the shoe its shape. This version is in croc-embossed leather that does both slip-on casual and dressed up. This is a deluxe sneaker-turned-dress shoe, with all the fun of your favorite Air Max silhouettes.

Air Force 1 Low Premium 'What The LA'

NikeAir Force 1 Low Premium 'What The LA'
$125
Buy at Kicks Crew

Release Date: November 11

Editor's Notes: The “What The” treatment gets a hometown edit. Nike describes this AF1 as a celebration of the teams and athletes that wear LA on their chest, built as a collage of materials and colors drawn from them. The AF1 is a Nike basketball shoe from 1982, so a mash-up of city sports teams on it feels right. It’s a loud pair that rewards a second close-up look.

Mind 002 Flyknit

NikeMind 002 Flyknit
$145
Buy at Nike

Release Date: November 10

Editor's Notes: .The Mind 002 is the sneaker with the most unusual pitch in the Nike line-up: 22 nodes on the outsole move against your foot to activate sensory areas of the brain, according to folks at Nike’s Mind Science Department. This Flyknit version keeps the look and adds a knit upper with engineered perforations for breathability. Black and Anthracite is the quietest colorway you could pick for such a strange shoe.

Air Force 1 GORE-TEX Vibram

NikeAir Force 1 GORE-TEX Vibram
$150
Buy at Nike

Release Date: Available now

Editor's Notes: The AF1 has always been tougher than its sneaker-court reputation suggests, and this pair leans into that. A leather upper sits over a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, with a Vibram outsole for grip on wet, slippery ground. The Baroque Brown base, with Speed Yellow and University Red accents, looks like a Timberland-era autumn staple. If you're searching for an AF1 that works in a downpour, this one is built for it.

Air Foamposite Pro "Mummy Duck" 'Multi-Color'

NikeAir Foamposite Pro "Mummy Duck"
$230
Buy at Nike

Release Date: Available Now

Editor's Notes: The Oregon Ducks have a long history with Foamposites, and the “Mummy Duck” is one of the stranger ones. It’s inspired by the Ducks’ wild uniform culture, and it has long been a rare pair, mostly seen on team players. This release finally brings a version to public retail. Foams have a loyal following and a heavy silhouette that makes a statement, so wear it on a day when you want to be noticed.

Air Jordan 3 'Fireside'

NikeAir Jordan 3 Retro "Fireside"
$205
Buy at Nike

Release Date: Available Now

Editor's Notes: This AJ3 is dressed for sweater weather. The “Fireside” palette pairs Velvet Brown with Pearl White Jumpman branding and Rust Pink laces. The upper is premium leather with elephant print, over visible Air cushioning. Nike’s own copy goes full cabin: starry skies and toasted marshmallows. It’s a women’s exclusive, and it’s one of the better-looking AJ3 colorways of the year.
