Editor’s Notes: Following up on a collaboration from 2018, nonnative is back alongside ASICS to deliver new colorways of the GEL-YETI HI. For 2020, we find the military boot-inspired silhouette offered in beige and black iterations, each made with breathable and waterproof GORE-TEX fabric.
The GEL-YETI HI was originally designed as a recovery shoe for trail runners, but it has since been updated for more casual wear. The standout feature is the lacing system, one that incorporates more eyelets and a loop instead of a drawcord on the heel. This allows for the laces to be wrapped around the collar like a combat boot.
