Brand: OFF-WHITE

Season: Resort 2020 “Rationalism”

Key Pieces: The collection’s lime tracksuit and graphic knits are a well-considered match to its skate-like elements and refined performance layers. Billowing cargo pants also usher in an alternative take on this year’s resurging tie-dye trend.

Release Date: We can expect this collection to be released towards the end of the year along with other Resort lines.

Buy: TBA

Editor’s Notes: OFF-WHITE recently took to social media to preview its forthcoming Resort 2020 collection. With cruise collections such as these often giving designers the chance to push the boat out and extend beyond their comfort zones, Virgil Abloh has certainly capitalized on this understanding to present a collection that is, even for him, “out there.”

OFF-WHITE’s Resort 2020 presents a batch of graphically-charged pieces, fused with sporting motifs and a very interesting hippy-turned-grunge edge. With oversized tie-dye pants and skin-tight performance gear weaving their way through bulky, skate-like sneakers and the brand’s usual plethora of placed graphics, “Rationalism” is the ultimate fusion of Virgil Abloh’s many inspirations.

What is interesting is Abloh’s ownership of cuts that he himself has become known to wear. Pieces like bell-bottom jeans that taper around the knee, and layered accessories that remind of his first Louis Vuitton collection. Take an early look at the collection above, and stay tuned for more updates as we have them.
