Editor’s Notes: Photographer Alex Bortz's Ok, Ballet nurtures a symbiosis between fashion, art, and culture. For its Fall/Winter 2019 collection, Ok, Ballet draws on the theme of the circus with a dark and mystic twist. “The circus will always be at the root of the inspiration of our brand, and is inevitably symbiotic with all things mystical," Bortz said of the collection. "We became infatuated with Cassadaga, Florida, one of the psychic capitals of the world, and drew from the history behind it to curate parts of this collection.”

Clown graphics, elephants, polka dots and phrases like “showtime” transform fall essentials such as hoodies, tees, cardigans and button-up shirts, and allude to the mysticism of the circus. The collection takes branding to quirky new levels with the standard minimalistic "ballet" hoodies and tees, while the tee in slide #11 features a smoking moon with Ok, Ballet emerging from the smoke. Slide #9 sees a weathered hoodie with vintage lettering reading "Ballet Spiritualist Camp" above a sprawling sun and in slide #5 the brand name creeps down the knitted front.
