What We’re Saying: Late last year, Packer made waves when it released a new sneaker without revealing it beforehand. In a day and age when we're constantly bombarded with mockups and leaks and teaser images prior to launch, this certainly was a breath of fresh air. The sneaker in question was an Ultra 4D collaboration, and now, the retailer is back with its second take on the coveted silhouette.

This time around, we see the Ultra 4D offered in a collegiate-inspired colorway, with an emphasis on color-blocking. The Forest/Navy upper of the shoe is then contrasted by a milky white side cage and midsole, while modified webbing strips can be found on the heel and tongue. The 1.0 patter on the upper is complemented by rich pigskin suede mudguards, coming together to deliver a more all-round luxe construction. Of course, the star of the show is the 3D-printed midsole below, as the sneaker is jam-packed with both Ultraboost and 4D technology.

Packer revealed that it sought to reimagine the Ultra 4D through a more traditional lens with this second collaboration. "With both the UltraBoost and 4D technology leaning so far into the future, the goal was to balance that ambition with some of the timeless formulas we’ve championed on our shelves for decades," the retailer said.

You'll be able to try for the new Packer x adidas Ultra 4D when it releases exclusively through Packer on July 16.
