In recent years, no L has hit harder than that of a Patta x Nike Air Max 1 raffle.

Whether the “Monarch”, “Noise Aqua”, “Rush Maroon”, or the black iteration, a raffle for the chance to cop anything from the pair’s wavey collaborations ends with the same outcome: disappointment.

With the duo’s last release now over six months ago, it looks as if we should be getting geared up for another dose of despondency as images of a summer-ready white and gray Air Max 1 has surfaced on IG.

Adopting the same wavey decoration as its predecessors, this potential forthcoming iteration looks to be another dreamy concoction of leather and mesh, with the former presented in crisp white and the latter in a darker gray.

If previous releases are anything to go by, any potential sneaker drop is likely to be accompanied by a range of apparel pieces, with a full tracksuit and graphic tees landing in tandem last time out.

While no announcements have been made by either Patta or Nike regarding the release, previous image leaks have led to official information soon after.

For Patta, this potential collaboration comes soon after the release of a Milan-exclusive capsule alongside Awake NY and Carhartt WIP, as well as footwear link-ups with the likes of Mizuno, Mephisto, and ellesse earlier this year.

Undoubtedly though, if this Patta x Nike collaboration comes to fruition, it’ll be one of the highlights of the sneaker calendar. Yet, for the majority of us, it’ll likely end in another L. We move.
