As a celebration of Pokémon's 30th anniversary, the adidas collaboration was bound to be special. Turns out, it also includes a Spezial sneaker.

The Pokémon x adidas Handball Spezial is another sneaker inspired by Mewtwo. It arrives with pearly pink-ish purple leather, similar to those previous Samba shoes. However, the Spezials offer a little more Mewtwo-ness, with adidas adding some extra details inspired by the Pokémon's appearance and psychic powers.

Mewtwo is hands-down the star of the adidas collection with three dedicated sneaker models (the most of all the characters featured). And each pair is a little more Mewtwo-coded than the last. The third pair is literally Mewtwo in ZX 8000 form, complete with the character's horn-like ears and piercing eyes.

The rest of the adidas collection consists of Superstars, Adistar XLG 2.0, and Adistar Control 5 models inspired by Pokémon like Rayquaza and Pikachu.

It's all expected to release in September on adidas' website. And yes, Poké ball lace charms will be included with each pair.

'Cause you gotta catch 'em all. Or at least, try before they sell out.
