Pusha-T appeared on Tuesday's The Daily Show With Trevor Noah and discussed the making of his album DAYTONA, Kanye West's MAGA hat, his feud with Drake, and more.

The former Clipse man has been vocal in his disdain for President Trump, and now we know West's support for the president affected the duo's work together recording DAYTONA — even if Push insists West's MAGA days are done.

“He doesn’t anymore. He stopped. He stopped, though. He stopped,” Pusha said when host Noah asked about West’s love of the MAGA hat. “Can you imagine having those conversations while he’s trying to make my album? He basically has my life in his palm and I have to tell him that I hate something.

"We always have real conversations, though. Always. I think that’s why me and him connect so well and I think that’s why DAYTONA came out so well, because it’s a give and take. If I don’t like something, I say it and he tries to correct it, and so on and so forth.”

Addressing his feud with Drake, Pusha insisted he hadn't taken things too far. "There is no edge in rap battles […] it’s dog eat dog […] it’s about being scathing and getting a rise out of your opponent or making them hush," he said.

Pusha also spoke about why he controversially chose a photograph of Whitney Houston's bathroom for his album's cover art. "This image spoke to exactly what’s going on on the album: it’s organized chaos, it’s luxury, it’s drugs," he said. Watch the video above to see the conversation in full.
