For over a month, we've been robbing and looting across Red Dead Redemption 2's vast and lawless frontier on our own. Starting today, Rockstar has released an early access beta for Red Dead Online, for players to finally take on the wild west with friends and other online players.

To gain access early access to the beta, players who own Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition will be able to play the mode as soon as the mode is launched. However, Rockstar will be releasing the mode for different players across this week. On Wednesday, November 26, players who played the game on October 26 will gain access. Thursday, players who played RDR2 between October 26 to October 29 will gain access. Finally, on Friday, all owners of the game will be able to play.

Red Dead Online transforms the massive and deeply detailed landscapes, cities, towns and habitats of RDR2 into you and your friends ultimate playground. Players will be able to create and customize a character, choose abilities to suit individual play style and experience the brutal frontier anyway you'd like.

Players can explore the world solo or with friends by forming or joining a Posse. Building upon the gameplay foundation of  RDR2, gangs will be able to ride with up to seven characters; gather around the fire at your Camp; head out hunting or fishing; visit bustling towns; battle enemy gangs and attack their hideouts; hunt for treasure; take on missions and interact with familiar characters from across the five states. Players will also be able to fight against other posses and outlaws in both spontaneous skirmishes and pitched set-piece battle modes.
