Fans have been holding out almost three years for Rihanna's ninth studio album, but according to a brief comment on her Instagram account, the wait might soon be over.

In the comments section of a promotional post for her Fenty beauty line a follower asked, “But when is the album dropping Robyn? Can we have a release date for that?” Not one to mince words, Bad Gal Riri simply replied, “2019.” You can see the original post below.

This past weekend Rihanna took to Instagram again to tease her fans, this time posting a story with the text: "'Where the album?' Me: sorry my connection poor." Whether this means we won't be getting the album early 2019, or the singer is simply poking fun at the constant album questions, remains to be seen.

Since releasing ANTI to rave reviews in 2016, Rihanna has been concentrating on her Savage x Fenty line and her multimillion-dollar cosmetics company Fenty Beauty, as well as collaborations with Puma.

The singer has received praise for transforming her music fame into a full-blown brand empire. Her focus on diversity and inclusiveness within the beauty and fashion landscape has proven to be incredibly commercially viable.
