What We’re Saying: Sean Wotherspoon has been teasing his adidas ZX collaboration since last May. Following official images that began to circulate earlier in the year, adidas has finally announced an April 16 release date for the Round Two co-founder's patchwork interpretation of the iconic ZX silhouette.

The SUPEREARTH sneaker features a mixed-material upper — made from polyester and canvas — with adidas logo embroidery, that is similar to the flower embroidery on Wotherspoon’s Superstar collaboration. The tongue, which is taken from the adidas Samba, boasts a large “Super Earth” graphic, reaffirming that the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 is constructed using sustainable resources and practices, much like his Superstar.

This release is part of adidas’ A-ZX program, a series of 26 ZX sneakers dropping throughout 2020-21. To see what’s dropped so far and what’s coming next, head here.
