After teasing his adidas ZX collaboration in May, Sean Wotherspoon has now given us an even better look at the upcoming sneaker. The images posted to his Instagram, along with the caption, reveal that the Round Two co-founder has reworked the Three Stripes’ iconic ZX 8000.
The sneaker features a mixed-material upper with adidas logo embroidery, that is similar to the flower embroidery on Wotherspoon’s Superstar collaboration. The tongue features a large “Super Earth” graphic, which suggests that the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas ZX 8000 will be constructed using sustainable resources and practices, much like his Superstar.
No word yet on when the sneaker will be released, so stay tuned for any information. Wotherspoon’s collaborative ZX 8000 will be part of adidas’ A-ZX series.
This release is part of adidas’ A-ZX program, a series of 26 ZX sneakers dropping throughout 2020-21. To see what’s dropped so far and what’s coming next, head here.
