Following slime green sweaters and lavender slides, sky blue is our latest colorway that we're honing in on for SS20.
In our selection below you'll find a pair of sneakers from Salomon with a subtle orange accent on the heel, a mesh jacket from London-based designer Feng Chen Wang, a pair of cozy trekking sandals from Off-white™, and the now-iconic Telfar shopping bag all dripping in an optimistic shade of sky blue.
Pantone Institute's Creative Director for Europe and resident color expert Jane Boddy tells Highsnobiety her thoughts on the colorway: "Blue is the world's most popular colour. It's seen as trustworthy as it's the colour of the sky. Traditionally these sky blue shades, in menswear in particular, are considered a commercial classic, but they have been a little overlooked recently. However, when this shade is applied to modern styling these fresh clean blues offer a crisp modernity. This is just the beginning of this new take on this pure shade and it's set to be a key colour for many seasons to come as it offers so much from its feel good psychological aspect to trans-seasonality as it can be worn any time of the year."
