Stüssy’s popularity went through a lull, but recent seasons have seen the label back in form and, arguably, looking better than it ever has. From viral TikTok success to collaborations with Our Legacy, Dries Van Noten, and more, there’s not much that Stüssy can’t do. This sentiment has been galvanised by the brand’s first drop of SS23; a drop that saw a bunch of the highlight pieces flying off shelves and into sold-out land.

One such piece was the Wave Dye Beach Shell. We’d seen this piece styled in the Stüssy SS23 lookbook and had earmarked it as our first cop of the season. Its textured blue color was its strongest visual quality, complemented by a large Stüssy logo to the reverse, but beyond visuals, it just stood out as a seriously useful parent for spring/summer.

We’re constantly looking for the right lightweight jacket for warm weather, and the Stüssy Wave Dye Beach Shell seemed to be the answer to all our questions. That was until it sold out before we got a chance to lay claim to it.

With that said, the piece quickly found a new home at StockX, where it’s available for around $300. Sure, it comes at a premium from its original $185 price tag, but we’ve given in to its pretty wave-dyed allure.
