Subway is partnering with Beyond Meat, LA-based producer of plant-based meat substitutes, to add a new plant-based protein option to its menu with the Beyond Meatball Marinara sandwich.

Designed to be an alternative to the Subway-favorite meatball sub, the Beyond Meatball Marinara sandwich features the first-ever Beyond Meatballs covered in marinara sauce and sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese, all placed in between lightly toasted bread. And just because the sub includes a meat substitute doesn't mean it lacks protein. There are 24 grams of protein in each six-inch Beyond Meatball Marinara sandwich.

The all-new plant-based menu item will be available for a limited time starting this September at 685 Subway locations in the United States and Canada.

So, are you down to try the Subway x Beyond Meat collab?
