Supreme’s Next Nike Sneaker Is an Air Max Deep-Cut
Supreme is back using its all-access pass to the Nike archives to unearth an obscure Air Max sneaker for its latest collaboration.
On August 17, the streetwear giant dropped its Fall/Winter 2026 lookbook, which featured the usual wild accessories plus a collaborative Air Max 2000 sneaker. Supreme gave the Swoosh model an energetic refresh, dressing it in its signature red plus bright yellow and white accents.
Nike's Air Max 2000 debuted 26 years ago as part of the brand's Alpha Project, a collection of unconventional models (the Air Max Craze and Air Kukini were part of the squad). The 2000 featured a full-foot Air unit plus a wavy upper with a one-piece mesh layer.
Unfortunately, standing amongst other big Air Max models at the time, the 2000 never really got its moment. The Supreme touch could change that.
The brand is already quite familiar with the Air Max line. It has honestly taken on nearly every Air Max model, old and new, including the Air Max 1 and the Air Max DN. Dusting off another is easy.
The exact release date of the Supreme x Air Max 2000 is currently unknown, but we can expect it to release sometime during the colder seasons alongside some new Supreme Forces and Timberland boots.
And according to sneaker leakers, Nike's giving the Air Max 2000 the full revival package with general-release colorways as well.
