The North Face Japan has teamed up with the artist and up-cycler Fuyuki Shimazu to show you how to turn leftover cardboard into a sustainable wallet.

In his short instructional video, Shimazu utilizes a pair of scissors, a ruler, a Stanley knife, and glue to create a stylish new accessory at home. While he uses a brown shoebox from The North Face to fit-out the wallet, you're really only limited by the cardboard you have in your recycling pile.

This is the latest sustainability-focused project undertaken by the brand. In February the company launched its Renewed Design Residency training program, allowing The North Face designers to attend bi-annual Renewal Workshops to learn how to embed principles of circularity and creative repair into expanded product collections.
