Editor’s Notes: adidas is collaborating with four global partners for a series of FW19 running capsule collections. Kicking things off is Danish fashion/lifestyle brand, Wood Wood. Made for women, the "Run City" pack encourages the wearer to "get lost," both physically and mentally.

“Running is an everyday thing now, so naturally it’s also become a part of the way people express their identity,” says Karl Oskar Olsen, co-founder of Wood Wood.

Each piece from Wood Wood's "Run City" collection showcases innovative knitted construction. Headlining the collaboration are two iterations of adidas' Ultraboost 19, offered in distinctive colors with graphic treatments, and boasting numerous functional features.

All in all, the colors and textures of the collection were chosen to represent differing running terrains. "We wanted to draw attention to that sense of running without a purpose, of going places that you didn’t necessarily know you were going to. And of course, that doesn’t just mean in a physical way – it’s also about reaching some particular kind of headspace," Wood Wood co-founder Brian Jensen added.

Wood Wood's adidas "Run City" pack releases this Friday, November 15.
