Yeasayer is suing Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd over their Black Panther soundtrack single, "Pray For Me," TMZ reports. The Brooklyn-based rock band claims the duo stole material from their 2007 song "Sunrise" for the Marvel movie.

Per legal documents obtained by TMZ, Yeasayer claims that "Sunrise" contains "distinctive choral performance ... comprised of male voices singing in their highest registers, with animated, pulsing vibrato" — elements which were allegedly repurposed by Kendrick and The Weeknd eight times in "Pray for Me."

Yeasayer is suing for all "Pray for Me" profits and damages. The band is also requesting an injunction blocking future sales and airplay of the track. Updates to follow.
