German streetwear brands are renowned for doing simple, sleek basics well, and Frankfurt label Wemoto doesn't let the side down.
For their FW16 collection, Wemoto's designers seemed to have taken an actively more mature outlook, with a collection that continues to be grounded in sport and street aesthetics, while being highly wearable and slightly more refined. The color palette remains understated, concentrating on dusty, muted tans, grays, olive greens and navy.
Outerwear classics prevail, with Wemoto presenting their take on wool blend coats, waterproof fishtail parkas, slim-cut bombers and bonded cotton parkas. For underneath, heavyweight shirts, printed and embroidered oxfords, as well as a variety of jersey qualities and sweatshirts. Meanwhile, Wemoto's headwear collection focuses on tried-and-tested classics: buckets, 5-panels and snapbacks from printed, woven and washed fabrics.
The collection debuts at Copenhagen's Revolver Trade Show, February 3-5, before hitting stores later in the year. For more on the label, check out Wemoto's SS16 collection available now.
