Warner Bros. Pictures has finally unveiled the very teaser trailer for Blade Runner 2049, set 30 years after the first movie and starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford.
The short clip doesn’t give too much away in terms of plot, but we can see the movie looks set to continue the moody and highly-stylized aesthetic of the original. Reports suggest that Gosling’s job will involve tracking down Rick Decard (played once again by Harrison Ford,) who’s apparently gone missing between the original and this movie. The trailer shows that Gosling succeeds in finding Decard, only that he has a gun pointing at him.
Blade Runner 2049 is being directed by Denis Villeneuve (the director behind Arrival, which made our “Top 10 Best Movies of the Year List” FYI) with the original’s director, Ridley Scott, on board as executive producer. It’s slated for release on October 6, 2017.
After you’ve finished, here are the 20 best movies of the year, according to AV Club.
