In The Book of Henry, Naomi Watts stars as a single suburban mother, Susan, working as a waitress at a diner, all in means of providing for her two boys, 8-year-old Peter and 11-year-old Henry. Henry, however, is the glue that holds them all together, protecting both his younger brother and his mom, as well as taking care of the family finances.
When Henry develops feelings for his classmate and neighbor, Christina, that nurturing instinct once again consumes him, and he in turn begins to plot murder against the girl's father who abuses her.
Directed by Colin Trevorrow, The Book of Henry pits Watts alongside Jaeden Lieberher, Dean Norris, Sarah Silverman, Bobby Moynihan and Maddie Ziegler, and is due in theaters on July 16.
