Cosmo and Wanda —you ain't slick. adidas' green and pink Adizero Goukana sneaker is a full-figured runner that looks like the sporty amalgamation of famed fairies,Cosmo and Wanda, or perhaps an athletic iteration of some latent "Wicked" promo.

Despite looking like it came straight from the Land of Oz, more specifically, the joint wardrobes of Elphaba and Glinda, the Adizero Goukana is a full-blown running shoe designed for record-setting runs. Literally. The Adizero Goukana is inspired by the Adizero Neftenga, the same shoe Olympic gold medal-winning athlete Haile Gebrselassie wore when he set the world record in the 2008 Berlin Marathon.

A history-making sneaker? Not too shabby as far as muses are concerned. The Neftenga is such an iconic shoe that even Wales Bonner took a liking to the sneaker and upgraded the silhouette in 2024.

That is to say, the Adizero Goukana has some serious star power baked right into its DNA.

Where the Adizero Neftenga maintains a slim profile, more on par with the running shoe designs of the late aughts, the Adizero Goukana, available on the adidas website for $177, is as beefy as can be.

The outsole is made of adidas' high-rebound Lightstrike foam, which is designed to be light on feet for faster runs.

It also gives the sneaker some super serious bounce.

In addition to the vibrant pink and green colorway, the Adizero Goukana wears a metallic Three Stripes for enhanced visibility that makes the sneaker even more of a standout.

Given the sneaker's sporty origin, though, its pink and green colorway, however divine, is the least interesting thing about the Adizero Goukana. That's saying a lot.
