When thinking of adidas apparel, most'll probably conjure up imagery of their infamous, three-striped tracksuits, available in all colors of the rainbow. And when we broaden this question to general merchandise, an array of shoes will come to mind long before, say, barrel jeans or contrast collar blousons.

Well, with the growing of the German brand's Premium Essentials range, that is about to change, big time. Veering away from nostalgic athleisure and into something more adjacent your The Rows, Lemaires, and A. PRESSEs, this adidas sub-line is all about unassuming fashion-forwardness.

Though their clean lines, muted tones and classic elegance would invite the casual onlooker to think so, this is more than just a co-opt of quiet luxury or stealth wealth tropes. This is adidas putting to use its access to high quality materials, and conceiving of minimalist collections with them that manifest in modern coolness, a capsule mentality, and an appreciation for the type of functionality-focus we're more accustomed to within the activewear space.

With little more than its iconic Trefoil logo to mark the polo, sweats, and bomber jackets' origins, the Premium Essentials offering wants its products to speak for themselves. And they do so, with reverberating volume, though not at the expense of their trend-defiant style.
