What We’re Saying: With the colorway confirmed to launch at the end of the week, official images of the "Dark Slate" adidas YEEZY 450 have emerged. A followup to the "Cloud White" iteration from earlier in the year, the all-black pair has been teased for months, as many are of course eagerly awaiting a shot at landing the outlandish Kanye West design.
In stark contrast to the debut colorway, the "Dark Slate" YEEZY 450 features a jet black Primeknit upper and a charcoal sole unit. The standout design element of the shoe is without a doubt the ribcage-esque midsole that extends upward onto the upper. The collar then boasts sock-like construction to offer the wearer a more comfortable fit.
The "Dark Slate" YEEZY 450 is part of an absolutely stacked Spring/Summer 2021 YEEZY collection, which includes new colorways of brand-favorite silhouettes such as the ever-popular Foam Runner. Still, there is no other YEEZY design like the 450 — and quite possibly no other shoe like it, period. The all-black pair will no doubt be difficult to secure, but rest assured there will be plenty of sizes up for grabs on resale websites following the initial launch.
